...I am currently entertaining the thought of purchasing my first SxS coach-gun. I am eyeballing a Remmy (baikal) SPR 220 but I have a couple questions. Does this shotgun eject spent hulls from the chambers or does it just push them up to be pulled out manually? Also can rifled slugs be fired from this particular firearm and if so can it hit within a 14" circle at say 25 yards with them?

If ya couldn't have guessed already I am green when it comes to side by sides and have only seen them in movies and fondled them in my dreams

Any suggestions about other brands in same price range welcome, I thank you guys for any info,

The SPR220 has extractors, not ejectors. This means they are extended above the chambers to be manually removed.

Nobody will be able to answer your question about the accuracy of slugs, because it will depend on the slugs as much as the gun. The only way to find out is to try some brands at a patterning board.

If, by rifled slugs, you mean Brenneke slugs or such that are designed for use in a smoothbore and that impart a spin on themselves while passing through the barrel/air, then yes have at 'er. You will notice, however, that the physics of action/reaction will result in a fairly noticeable recoil when firing heavy loads through a relatively light shotgun.

As far as a coachgun in the Baikal price range, this is as good as it gets. I don't know the Remington equivalent model numbers, but the IZH43 or the IZH43KH are both true open hammer actions. The IZH43K utilizes external cocking levers that imitate the look of open hammer shotguns. In actuality, the functional hammers are internal in that model.
