First of all. Huge thanks for everyones support is our fight to get the shooting ban lifted!!
Second topic is how we keep this problem from happening again.

Gunnar, from CGN is is an awesome guy who is organizing a clean up event up there, we all need to pitch in to keep our areas clean & AVOID ANY FURTHER NEGATIVE IMAGES ABOUT US. This will count a lot towards any decisions council will make in the future. We will start a list here & at the store for anyone who can spare any time or resources toward this project. Thanks, Dave.

If I have the day off I would be interested but it really depends on what day something is being planned. Usually when we go up we clean up the immediate area around us even if there is old stuff there.

Thanks, Dave!

Out 8th-Annual clean-up will be on Saturday Sep 21, 2013. We will have some EZ-Up type canopies approx 1 km from the start of the Lost Creek FSR. Look for the Quads.ca banner and yellow coroplast "clean-up in progress" signs.

Typically we start around 8am; some of the organizing crew arrive around 7am. Lunch and refreshments will be provided, but we need to know roughly how many people are showing up so we can plan for it, so if you're coming, please post in this thread.

Currently we're arranging the disposal bin and transportation for it, getting the fee waived at the transfer station, etc.

More info will be posted as things progress.

happy to help out, I have an older pathfinder lots of room to toss stuff into. I will try to organize a few others to help out as well.

I'm not a resident of mission and have never shot there, but as a Canadian and a gun owner I feel obligated to help. Unfortunately, I'm back in school starting sept, can I donate cash/supplies to make up for my part?

any chance of investing in signs? even laminated ones zap strapped to trees. Remind people to clean up

Too many idiots with guns that dont actually care just use em as targets, done a few clean ups with local 4x4 groups and the garbage that comes out is unreal. Will keep the date in mind but wont commit as my hunting schedule is in the process of being worked out.

Great to hear the organization of clean up of Sylvester road. I was just up there
two weeks ago and what a mess. I took a half of pickup truck of junk from
km 7 and tossed it in our trash bin in Abbotsford. I would be happy to give a
hand on this event and use my truck to load up and dump at the local bin
your providing.

Thanks, Dave!

I'd definately like to get out there and give a hand if I can, I shoot up there and always try to take as much garbage back with me as I can after im done. Cant say 100% that I will make it out but ill try.

One week to go!

Magyar_civic, just team up with a buddy and get him to drive. :)

Updates from my organizer:

Well I have some updates to report.
We will be having Tim Horton's again this year. I need someone to pick it up at 8 am.
We have confirmation that 2 RCMP officers from Mission will be attending.
Waiting for confirmation from SuperSave as to the size of bins.
Will give more updates as they come in.

They will end up with holes in them, if you know what I mean, from the dumb rednecks getting drunk up there in the evenings
