PM me. I'm local(Atown)and own a auto shop on S. Fraser. If you want to meet there I can give you a ride in my weekend warrior and either lock your car inside my shop or just park in the lot.

I will be there I have a truck load it full oh #### and let's clean up that's dump il bring two peps too help too

I see where Sylvester road is on Google Maps. How far up Sylvester road is the location from Hwy. 7? Thanks!
Go to the end of the pavement, and we will be about 1km up the gravel road (where the road turns to the Lost Creek FSR). Not sure of the distance, but it's about 20 mins if I remember correctly (haven't been up there since last year's clean-up).

Btw, it's great that you guys are asking for directions... it means you've never been there but are still willing to head out and clean it up. Good on ya!

For those asking for details, they've been posted: Saturday Sep 21, meet around 8am at the EZ-up shelter, about 1 km past the pavement at the north end of Sylvester Road (basically at the first area wide enough to accomodate the bin and our vehicles).

Bring gloves, and a metal rake is handy for dragging small debris such as shotgun shells.

Another update:
Ministry of Forests and Ministry of Environment are providing garbage bags and drinks.

I can't make it Saturday, but to do my part I,ll be heading in there on Thursday and will fill up my buddies pick up truck he lent me, not knowing what I'm using it for :D and I got a dumpster to use already at a friends truck yard to throw away the debris. And guys keep an eye out what your driving over, an sks shell gave my truck a flat tire up there about a month back.

Update: Bins are arranged. Super Save Disposal is providing a 40-cubic-yard bin for garbage, and a 20-cubic-yard bin for metal, along with transportation to the site, and transportation to the Mission Landfill after the clean-up.

Our contact at the Mission Landfill is back from vacation today, so we should have that confirmed shortly. But it hasn't been an issue in all the years we've been doing this.

Update: Mission Landfill has sent us a letter confirming free dumping for the bins; we've sent the letter to Super Save Disposal for their two trucks.

Also... bring a folding chair if you want somewhere to sit during lunch!

Thanks to Dave at High Calibre Services for helping with the food bill!

Bins will be on site at 8am. Organizers will be set up at 8:30.

See you in the morning!

Thanks, Dave!

Out 8th-Annual clean-up will be on Saturday Sep 21, 2013. We will have some EZ-Up type canopies approx 1 km from the start of the Lost Creek FSR. Look for the Quads.ca banner and yellow coroplast "clean-up in progress" signs.

Typically we start around 8am; some of the organizing crew arrive around 7am. Lunch and refreshments will be provided, but we need to know roughly how many people are showing up so we can plan for it, so if you're coming, please post in this thread.

Currently we're arranging the disposal bin and transportation for it, getting the fee waived at the transfer station, etc.

More info will be posted as things progress.

Hey guys here's the heads up went to the event on the 21st of September 2013. Awesome people up there. We got up to KM 5 what
a mess up there.Had two Auxiliary RCMP Officers from Mission up there with us cleaning up. One was 29 years old and the other was 53 years old.

What can I say first timers they had the right stuff in my opinion. It has definitely givin me a better light on these volunteers. I know most people don't mind bashing these (RCMP) people around for all the stupid and idiotic stunts they have done in the past. When I see this type of dedicated volunteering and these two who actually got there hands dirty and having worked with them cleaning all the garbage left by the idotic gun shooters, who in my opinion, really give our legal sport a black eye, my hat is off to you two Sirs.

In closing I did have the best chuckle I have ever had. One of the officers had a dead battery and I had the pleasure giving him a boost saying to him if someone needs a boost give them a hand. LOL

BTW we had filled the big bin about 2/3 full with all of the garbage in the immediate area too bad more volunteers were not
there we could have gotten more in the bin and filled it to the top if we had made it to KM 7 where all the serious garbage is. Maybe next time.

Gonna start a new thread for the pics, so people don't have to go all the way through this one.
