Okay, maybe I'm anal or something like that, but I just love my CZ452 Varmint and I could happily plink all afternoon at my range with it. :)

I love it so much that I would really prefer a fibeglass or a synthetic stock for this fatter profiled barrel (as opposed to the CZ452 Style or something like that).

Anyone ever heard of such an upgrade ? I realize that there are laminated stocks, but I'm so anal, that I would dearly love this Varmint rifle to mimick my LR rig, my M700 VSF Desert with VBull Precision Magazine upgrade. ;)

CZ452 experts, any feedback or suggestions to my obssession ?

Cheers,
Barney

CZ452 Fiberglassw stocks

Hi Hungry

You can use a Macmillan fiberglass stock in the Sako Varmint and Hunter style stocks made to the small .223 Sako action. I have 2 CZ452 rifles built using these stocks. Order them as unmachined blanks and bring them up to have your gunsmith machine them for your action. Works and looks great. If you have any questions PM me for more details.

Good luck,

Steve

MCmillan makes one model for them and as well you should check out
rimfire central as an Ausie maker also makes one now in the US.

Well, I did some visiting at all the provided links and I've decided to stick with the existing factory stock.

It would be wiser to just put all my extra money into ammo for practice... a better expenditure. In the meantime, I sent an email enquiry to the CZ folks wondering if I could buy a Silhouette or Style synthetic stock so that I can tinker with one.

I'll keep you all updated....

Cheers,
Barney

After owning a number of .22LR I don't think I would ever go to a hvy barrel ever again. I have a silhouette CZ452 and I can rapid fire the barrel and it is never more then warm to the touch. I find that it shoots as well as a varmint style barrel, I guess .22LR loads aren't hot enough to really warm up the barrel... at least not enough to make the rounds walk.
