I'm thinking of putting an ATI stock on my No.1 Mk. 3, does anyone have any experience with them? I've never used a synthetic- how are they in hot or cold temps?

Also, can anyone recommend a no-gunsmith scope mount for same?

If you know any dealers who stock these items, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I have been thinking about getting a new stock for my rifle too. Marstar carries them, but it seem they are sold out all the time (according to the website, but I have not checked it today). Hopefully someone on here will help you out, but a lot of them are not too keen on "bubba"-ing a Enfield.

I'm not keen on bubba either, but don't plan on doing anything irreversible. It's just that my already bubba'd sporter forend is cracked all to hell, and I'm tired of waiting for Marstar's Greek wood to arrive.
I'd like to give the rifle to my son, but want to hand him something that groups reasonably well. A synthetic stock may accomplish that, but I don't know that for sure. Anyone with experience with these, especially with bedding them, I'd like to hear from.

I put mine in a Ram-Line stock and it's junk, but the gun never shot for sh!t anyways so it was still an improvement. I get about 2.5" - 2.75" at 100 meters with handloads, down from about 3.5" - 4" in wood with Federal "blue box".

ATI and Ramline make synthetic stocks for Lee Enfields No1.MkIII and No4s/No5s. The ATI is a Monte Carlo style which is said to be better if you have a scope on but I personally haven't tried a Ramline to compare. My experience of the ATI comes from one that was already fitted to a No.5 that I bought. The forestock is bent and I can't see how it could have been done except as a factory defect but thats the only truly defective one I have heard of from either manufacturer. Of both brands I have heard/read reports that they drop in without fitting and that they do need fitting and that they work well without bedding and that they need bedding. I think Wholesale Sports sells them and last time I looked Cabelas.ca had them listed.

Wholesale carries the Ramline, but the one review was terrible. I'm wondering whether the ATI would have similar reviews.

I'm shocked. :D
