I am thinking of modernizing my Remington with a new stock.
It is a 30-06 with iron sights and 20" barrel.
It has a blind mag so I believe it is a BDL?
Correct me if I'm wrong on that.
What is good for the wallet and a decent product?
Thanks

Op,
Measure the Bbl length to the bolt breech face as it should be 22" length not 20"as measured from the recoil lug/front of the receiver.

disregard if your 20" quote is a typo.

Finding an aftermarket ADL stock may prove difficult. I know that at one time Remington used to offer the factory synthetic stocks for the 700 in BDL configuration. Every gun store had a stack of those stocks in boxes from Remington. My dad bought a factory replacement for his 700 Custom Shop 270 to save on banging the wood stock up. Seems to me that he might have done the same thing with his 700 Classic 338WM too.

First year production 700s had 20 inch barrels in standard caliber rifles. BDL and ADL.
I wouldn't change a thing on that rifle, they are getting hard to find.
