Does anyone elses synthetic buck urine smell like cologne? I know sounds weird but if I didn't know any better I'd say my code blue synthetic urine has a distinctive cologne odor to it, ####kkkkkkkkkkkkking hate being ripped off.

There's a lot of crap on the market in my opinion. The James Valley scents (I've found) seem to help.

OR next buck/bull/coyote ( ;) ) you shoot, scrape out the inside of his balls, mix it with 3oz vodka and 4oz glycerine. Put it in a sealed glass jar, shake it up, put it in your cellar. Give it a shake once in awhile, it'll be ready next fall.

Us old guys pick up a thing or two as we age.

Curious about this. Do you mean scraping the inside of the dissected testicle or just the nut sack. Would this work with the tarsal gland ?

Or are you just pulling our leg ?

Just need to make sure before I use up 3 oz of good hooch. Liquor is pricey these days.

Testicals, not kidding. Dark cool place. It's ready after 2-3 mo. Better after 6+. Far as the glands I've thought of that too. I've also wondered about emptying a does bladder and using that with the same formula, but have never tried it. (It's easy to get the testicals home, but do you want to fill your canteen with doe/cow urine? )

We took a mule buck yesterday and his chest was all matted from him rubbing in his urine rub. I've also wondered about a bucks bladder. After all, it's what he's doing to attract the ladies....?

I know the scent topic's been covered lot's and I know there's lot's of garbage on the market. I've played with them enough to know that if the conditions are "right" the results are unbelievable, as it is with calls. Trick is, I doubt any of us will hunt long enough to get it all figured out. :(

Code Blue Synthetic deer urine is total crap. Smells like a mixture of Shampoo and Amine (sweetening agent used in natural gas processing)

I dumped an entire bottle on sapling 20 yards off a well used dear trail last November. The spot is next to a road were I work. I drove by every day all November-December and not one deer track over to that tree. There was not even one track off the main trail or signs deer were at least stopping on the trail.

I could take a dump in the bush and at the very least get a coyote to stop and take a whiff.

Its illegal for us to do this now in Ontario if I understand the new law correctly. I used the last bit of my real stuff this year for "photography".

can only do that anywhere but ontario. would get in deep doodoo if you got caught with that in ontario now.

x3 (or is itx4?) on the Code Blue synthetic. Anyways can't believe it was recommended to me by an employee at Cabela's. Scent I used a couple of years ago stunk so much that it if you got it on your hands there went your lunch. (might have been Buck Experts or Code Red?)

I'm trying the Tink's synthetic Buck piss this year. Not sure about it either as it doesn't stink much. Everone I've talked to swears by Tink's 69 but the real deal is banned here in 'toba.

I read on a hunting forum that a lot of the synthetic scents are bought from the same suppliers and that its only bottled with different labels. Maybe folks will post what works in synthetics as thats all we're allowed to use in Manitoba. Thx.
