A few years back I had the desire to own a T-3 Lite.
Now the Vanguard S-2's are out.
I'm looking for comments to the pros and cons of each rifle
and why one is better than the other?
Not looking for a caliber choice or my king, queen, jack is better.;)
I don't recall reading on these two being compared
to one another and looking for some good
heads up info, more so on the S-2.

You can read reviews on Weatherby Nation, most guys like them although 'd expect a bit of bias on that site anyways. Dunno if they're in Canada yet. IMO a slightly pricier Vanguard defeats the purpose of the Vanguard, it's one of the best bang-for-your-buck guns out there. I'd take a Vanguard (or Howa) over just about anything else in its price range.

I have a Weatherby vanguard sub moa and 2 Tikka's. I hope they improved on some things with the "2" because the "1" is not quite in the same league as the Tikka. I bought both the hinged floor plate and the detachible mag,....if you want good plastic look at the Tikka, if you want cheap plastic look at the weatherby. The bolt is not as smooth and the 90deg bolt throw sucks, but it is a shooter and that is what counts!

Williams' Arms is showing those in stock on their website. $625 Canadian.

I have an older Vanguard, and have owned others in the past. I think they are a good value, and the stock design, while not beautiful IMHO, does a much better job of handling recoil than the Tikka, at least for me. Also, the new S2 models are guaranteed MOA.
