T 97 vs Ket tec su 16

well I had both. I ran them hard. I figured the Su-16 would surly fail.......it didn't. Accuracy was as good as my AR-15 and stayed cosistant even when multiple rounds were fired. The SU has an incredibly Fast reset on the trigger and shoots faster than the T97 by far. I have never owned such a fast shooter. Once you get to know the trigger ,.you can almost get it to sound automatic LOL. I had an AR stock on mine & a Red Lion front end. I wished I didn't sell it. I have nothing bad to say about the T97. It ran 100% for me.
The kel tec is certainly easier to put a scope on. I am going to buy another SU this year.

I owned an SU-16, and I liked almost everything about it...

Except the mag release.... half the time I was hitting one of the two screws above and below it.

I like my T97 better.

Don't have an su 16 but have a sub 2000 gen 2 and a ksg. Never had any problems. My t97 on the other hand. I have had bullets jammed into cartridge ( but im pretty sure thats the pcv mags) never had prob with factory or lar mags. Triggers horrible. And it has about a 1 foot moa with norc ammo, lol. I'm more accurate with a 9mm or a 12 guage slug at 100 yards. I'm pretty sure the ftu has worked itself loose again. Not the guns fault but i still think i'm going to sell

Lol tighten your FTU. I get ~2.5 moa with norc ammo

I had an SU 16 , pistol grip and red lion hand guard. As others have said it shoots very fast and was 100% reliable. I could load and dump 10 lar 15 mags ,as fast as I could pull the trigger and not have a failure. I don't know if blasting off a 100 rnds in a couple of minutes, means anything or not , but it was fun:). I also had the SU 16 Predator, but didn't like that as much.

If you get a T97 and want to mount a red dot sight, buy the scout mount rail from BC Tactical, since this is the only rail which will allow you to remove the upper hand guard without removing the rail, also the iron sights are still usable. The other rails once installed will not allow removal of the upper hand guard, without removing the rail.

I said I was going to get another SU 16 and I did. Walked into the Local gun store today, Talked with the boss,..... made a deal,...now I'm happy again. Just got the regular black one. I find the Factory sites worked very well.

I used to have Strikefire red dot on mine.
It added weight to a weight-less rifle, was bulky and caught my hand every time I cocked the rifle.
Tech sights makes a very simple rear ring sight similar to an M16A1 or original C7 style rear sight.
It tightens on to the last slot and forms on to the angle of the rear receiver very snugly.
All set and ready to match the front sight out of the box.
It keep the rifle super lightweight and is a much better rear sight than the factory oversight buckhorn thing.
I am very happyy with it.

I think Tech sights even makes an A2 style rear sight as well.

Bought mine off Amamzon.
