Hi just wondering if anyone has a T/C Icon an what you think of it I was reading about it and it sounds pretty sweet but I want to hear from an owner. I like the classic wood stock. I was looking at the 243 or the 22-250. Any highs or lows on that gun would be appreciated. Im into a bit of target an coyote shooting.

Very accurate but sporter barrel is warm with 3 rounds.
Flat bottom receiver interlocked with bedding block.
Free floated barrel with 5R rifling.
Adjustable trigger.
Receiver with integrated bases formed from one block (3 action screws).
60 degree lift bolt.
Can lock the bolt (and if release safety it also unlock the bolt).
Really like mine. Thought finish was marred after a hunting trip (pushing through brush/saplings/trees) but cleaned right up. Very little (no recoil) with .308, little heavier but not find it an issue.
However, as Obtunded mentioned, its not a precision rifle on the basis of its thin sporter barrel. The Hoque stock on mine not as rigid as better HS or B&C stocks. Shame about the barrel as rifle has a lot going for it and again, its very accurate. If find one on sale again ($850) I may buy to rebarrel - I believe their insanely priced War-Lord shares the same platform / features.

I have a T/C Icon in .300 Win. Mag.
The literature that came with the gun guaranteed sub MOA performance.
It certainly delivers that & comes in at the high end of acceptable hunting accuracy (< 1.5 MOA).
Mine gives me consistent 3/4" groups with Winchester factory cartridges pushing the 180 grain XP3 bullet shot off a Caldwell Lead Sled rest.
Not a precision rifle (< 1/2" groups) for sure but then again I wouldn't appreciate lugging a 12 pound "truly precision" heavy barreled rifle through the bush on a moose hunt.
I guess I could experiment with hand loads & get the groups down below the precision (< 0.5 MOA) threshold but you can't convince me that when a moose is sighted and the shyt is running down a hunters legs that the 1/4 MOA gained from fine tuning the ammo would make any difference whatsoever.
My Icon is a lean & mean, "freezer-fillin" big game hunter not a bull barreled bench rest bimbo.
Thanks guy's. I was looking at the Icon an the Tikka both nice gun's and good reviews on both. I guess I got to make up my mind and go get one in 223/ 22-250 or 243 theres just so much to choose from for small game /coyotes /an targets. Anyway thank's it's time to stop kicking the cat around an get me a gun.
My T/C Icon in .300 Win. Mag. will definitely pop a coyote with 125 grain Sierra HPs & leaves me with about enough of the body left to make a coyote tail addition to one of my rabbit fur hats.
