T/C Icon in Canada?

Well this Christmas has been good to me and I am now on the lookout for a new TC Icon in .308, problem is who has them and how much?
If anyone has any info they could pass on that would great

Bought an Icon 308 from SIR in Sept. It was a good shooter...groups usually under 0.75" @ 100M. Just sent it to have it rebarelled to 260 Rem. I wanted to do a custom rebuild and the Icon has so many good features, I decided to use the one I bought.

We have a new Icon in .308 at the shop, nice gun, nice wood, cost is about a grand. In my opinion they are nicer looking then alot of more expensive guns, I think the only ones as nice are the Kimbers.

That's one of those things I don't get .
Our Cdn dollar is worth $1.00220 USD, the Icon retails at $800 US (for all calibers except .30TC which is more).
Why such an increase? I think the Icon looks to be a superb rifle, one that I would sink some money into but I do have my limits. Must have must pay eh!
I just don't understand the exchange rate I guess?

Sometimes these guns are ordered a year ahead of time when the rate was diff. also, when ordering from the US you can add a couple of more middle men(distributors)and everyone wants their piece of the pie.

Come on guys, how much takes the middle man?
At this rate 1000 CAN and 800 US, the conversion rate is 1.25, WOW.
When our dollar was worth 1.25 or 0.8???
Most likely long before they introduced those rifles.
Another thing, I am curious how much this rifle gonna cost in 2 years for example, when our dollar may slip down?
