I now have three TC Icons ... all purchased from SIR during the past year. Last Sept, I purchased the Classic with blued barrel and wood stock in 308....it was a good rifle consistently shot groups of 3 just under 0.75" @ 100M. I had it rebarreled to 260 Rem and it shoots about the same. Since Jan, I purchased two Weathershields in 308. Both shoot about 0.75" groups. I am going to rebarrel one of them to 6.5 X 47 Lapua.
The Weathershields have a Hogue overmolded stock (fiberglass with a rubber over-lay) which are soft and grip well.
I usually "play" with rifles for a short time and then resell, but the Icons have been an exception. All come with match grade barrels , 3 lug bolt, alum bedding block with 3 recoil lugs, integrated scope base, and detach single stack clip (can not be loaded from the top). Barrels on the 308's measure 0.65" at the muzzle. Since I have both models, it is easy to change the Weathershield action/barrels over to the wood stock. The wood stock was about $1100.00 shipped, and the Weathershields were $1000.00.
