T/C percussion cap 50 cal. Hammer won't ####

I have a TC Hawken lock with a broken bridle screw that I'm going to make into a parts lock. PM me and I'll send you the spring and plunger.
 
I took a closer look at the op's picture and I think tiriaq and VagrantViking might be correct in that the plunger is stuck up in the guide hole. If the spring and plunger were missing, it would be an empty hole that you could stick a Q-tip in. It's common for a bit of old oil and gunk to cause it to stick. A bit of penetrating oil and some poking might free it.

Yup! It's definitely seemed up there.
I got it soaking in a cap full of deep creep. Hopefully it will come out. Thanks again! Will update.
 
It’s also possible that the wood in the inletting has swollen over time. Generally only the outer wooden surfaces were finished (sealed), so the wood at the lock and barrel channel can be affected by humidity
 
I took my .54 TC Hawken lock out and had a look at it. I thought I could see the plunger in your picture but wasn't sure. How in the heck would it get jammed up in there?

My guess would be a drop or 2 of oil slowly turning into glue with the lock not having been touched in a decade or 2. Some can turn to varnish that's a ##### to scrape off if you can't get a solvent to it.

Maybe a burr in the parts and an over energetic spring on the set trigger.
 
Got her fixed up boys! JWD on here took it to work and got her un seized. Put it back together and it half #### and full #### and fires.
I'm going to need to hit people up on how to shoot it now. Picked up a bunch of stuff locally and got to learn.
