I hope this is ok to ask if not please forgive. I really want a t/c prohunter but if i want one now i'm looking at a .50cal. I really have no use (mostly patience) for a muzzle loader. Is there any market for a barrel off a T/C pro hunter? Is there a business that might buy it? I know they cost about $455 without the forearm(I think). any help or advice would be great.

I know everyone who has one for sale....but I need to find if I can sell the .50cal barrel before I buy. They are probably the most accurate .50cal barrel around but useless to me. I just can't justify spending that type of money and have a $450 barrel sitting around. Although fun for varmint a little expensive to fire.
That sounds high for the barrel. I'm sure you could easily sell it for 300-350 but I doubt much more. There is a bit of a surplus of 209x50 barrels in Canada because muzzleloaders are easier for the Americans to ship out of the U.S.
That is High. that is what it would cost you to replace the barrel though. check out any canadian website.
But if I did buy it I wouldn't sell it for more than $350 because you are right about there being a surplus in canada. I guess the americans aren't smart enough to realise how easy it is to cange the barrel out and use the single shot as some high performance terrorist weapon.
