T/C Pro Hunter FlexTech® Stock Felt Recoil

I'm a big fan of the 375 H&H caliber but have never felt comfortable shooting it. I've owned a couple of Sako AV in this caliber and the felt recoil was so painful to the point that I developed a terrible shooting flinch.

I still have a Sako in this caliber but it has become a safe queen. I never gave up so when I bought a few years ago a T/C Encore Pro Hunter with a 28", 300 Win Mag barrel to become my number one moose hunting gun, I decided shortly after to buy a 375 H&H barrel to check the claim from T/C of significant recoil reduction based on its stock design.

I was finally able to test it yesterday at the range and I was pleasantly surprised that the claim by T/C of about a 43% felt recoil reduction is justified. The gun was a pleasure to shoot and although the recoil was significant, but not sharp..... more like a delayed recoil lasting longer and completely manageable.

So, for anyone wishing to shoot higher end magnum calibers and not feeling comfortable with the recoil should seriously look at the T/C Encore Pro Hunter with the FlexTech® stock.

I have a 20"barrel in 375hh on a TC pro hunter frame and the felt recoil is not to bad from the case as I find that the muzzle blast is worse because of the magnaporting( they would not ship it out from the factory with out it on). For a short handy gun, recoil is not bad.

I have a T/C prohunter muzzle loader and really like it, but I think (just an opinion) the flextech stock is a load of marketing huwy. I think the tame recoil is due to the fact it has a limbsaver recoil pad on it. Either way low recoil and nice gun.:)
