Hey guys~I've seen 2 of these pop-up in the EE in the last 12 months, and I wasn't ready for the first one...and missed the second. lol Actually, a buddy of mine is also looking for one, so I'm curious to know if anyone knows of one sitting on a shelf in a gun shop somewhere. If you own one, I'd be interested in your impressions of it, whether or not it shoots Hornday 17M2 well, etc.

Photos MOST welcome. :)

Thanks for taking a moment to reply.

There was a guy in tge US on rimfire central that had done a few Mossbergs. Installed barrel liners and cut new chambers.A rifle with a ringed barrel would be a prime candidate for such an adventure.

I would do a lot of research on that gun before buying. Go to Rimfire Central and read up on the various iterations (and various problems) of the T/C semiautos. I saw both of the ones you mentioned in the EE: I hemmed and hawed and eventually talked myself out of buying after lots of reading. Rimfire Central is your friend.

One of the dumbest mistakes I've ever made (and that's saying something!) was selling my Marlin 717 semiauto .17HM2 years ago. To be honest, that rifle also had its detractors who reported various problems, but mine was an inexpensive and insanely-accurate rifle, completely reliable through about 600 rounds of the hard-to-find ammo. Not to derail your thread, but that's the gun I would be looking for if I could convince myself I needed or wanted another HM2.

I've had several TC semiautos, the ones that didn't work well were easily fixed by altering the angle of the feed ramp on the magazine ALL of them shot like lasers.
