I'm looking at buying a new varmint/predator rifle and am interested in a T/C Venture but don't know how they are for accuracy and reliability.Any experiences out there.

Ya I have one. Feels like a well built rifle. The trigger is great, bolt is very smooth. Magazine is a nice feature too. I'm not crazy about the stock, but synthetic stocks are cheap. I am hoping to get out and sight in my new scope this week so I will post some target pics later this week or this weekend IF I have the chance to get out. Which model are you thinking about? Synthetic, predator or weather shield? And which calibre? I have another thread on here with a pic of mine.

I love my venture. It does well even with Federal blue box. Gamekings worked best so far but will be trying some hornady and barnes as well... hopefully this weekend!

They shoot as well as any other but if you ever want to swap out or add components, they can certainly be much harder to source than those for more mainstream brands

thanks for the info,I'm thinking predator in .204 or .223 haven't decided yet.I like the idea of the .204 but if I love to shoot it the .223 might be the way to go. How's the cost for reloading the .204 do you know(availibilty of brass etc.)?

How's it going, your a friend of the gunmedic, right? I talked to you awhile ago about rebarreling my 32/20 win.don't know if I let you know but I took it out shooting after we talked and it put 3 in an inch at 75 yrds (my son almost died he thought that was so cool.as far as the new gun It's a toss up so far over the Rem 700,Savage,T/C, or Ruger.not sure if I like all the scary posts in worst gun on the Rem 700 though.thanks.

Sorry I don't reload. I have been wanting to get into it, just don't know where to start! lol

Just got the cabela's spring catalogue and they have a pretty decent deal on the predator model with a TC scope and a foxpro caller for 699. Also, if you want any more detailed pics of the venture let me know and I'll try to take some this week.

yeah I saw that deal too, that's what made me wonder about the quality and accuracy.I reload for almost all my hunting rifles(30/30,30:06,270,325wsm)
so not worried about getting started, but I know if I like this gun I'll shoot the crap out of it so I don't want to fighting to find brass etc.I've got lots of picks thanks, hopefully there will be lots of models available at the Kamloops show that I can pick-up and see what feels good.

you probably know this already, but the venture is guaranteed MOA; and i didnt see any mention of needing to use premium ammunition to meet this guarantee.
i just bought one last week and havent had a chance to take it out yet either. when i get a chance i'll post the targets also, but i do believe it will perform well.

yes I saw the guarantee but have also heard the stories of guys who had to spend alot of money to get a rifle to group, lousey service, and selling guns that don,t shoot. Not the T/C though.I'll have to see how it fits me.thanks
