I'm interested in getting a new predator rifle and would like to know if anyone has one and what the accuracy and functioning of the rifle is like. I would also like to know where a guy can find one of the predator models in Mossy Oak in 204. Thanks.

I own the venture in 300wm, first thing I did was buy a new scope. The guy comes with moa accuracy guarantee and mine has done just that. But at seven and a half pounds I think it's on the lighter side for a 300wm.oh yeah and basic functions have always been good with the rifle not as smooth as a tikka t3 but good.

I had one in .204, not a package rifle but it is a absolute consistent tack driver with hornady or hand loads. As long as I'm doing my part, it always performed. Sold it to my brother and he still gets the same performance out of it. I sold it because of the two recalls they had, which heavily interfered with my coyote hunting at the time. I'd buy it back from him.

Had one in .270WIN. VERY accurate. Had trigger group replaced as per sear recall, no issues with service or parts. Both triggers were a little mushy. I managed 2 groups under half inch with different loads in my initial development for it. Check on the recalls, if they are done, go for it.

I don't have any experience with the Venture but I have an ongoing love/hate relationship with a 30/06 Icon.
-Lots of pro's: The look, the stock (Hogue), the trigger, the accuracy, etc...
-Cons: Trigger safety recall (no biggy either way to me), magazine insertion and feeding is hit and miss., Stainless finish is not "10 times more durable than stainless"- it's about as durable as a good bluing...

If the Venture need the recall done skip it (mine was damaged in return shipping).
If the Venture exhibits magazine issues (doesn't want to seat easily- no way to verify in a store if it reliably feeds...) skip it.
If corrosion resistance is at the top of your list skip it.
Otherwise grab one, mine shoots really nice.

NO.
Got one in 7mm08,
Sold it, no regret at all
the bolt handle is too short to my taste.
lots of ejection problems, IE: Plunger scrapping off the case:
Brass (powder)build-up jamming the plunger....
Accuracy, yes it was fine.
