I am new to the whole milsurp thing, but now that im over my reservations about 'old' guns, my bank account has been draining.
This milsurp rifle bug has bit me hard, I just cant get enough. Researching and firing vintage milsurps is a real treat.

In the last 3 months I've purchased 4 rifles from Trade Ex Canada, (2 Mosin Nagant 91/30's, and 2 K31's). I will say Anthony @ trade ex is a true professional and runs a classy operation. Order, pay, and receive the tracking number same day! What more can a guy ask for, now that is how a business should be run!

100% agree. I deal with Antony this year for a VZ-24 and he was everything you just said. Classy guy, great service and products.

Enjoy your milsurp !

Trade Ex Canada

Trade Ex Canada is the way every Dealer in Canada should run their companies, when it comes to Customer Service. They could take some lessons from Trade Ex. (Anyone at Cabelas in Winnipeg listening?)

When I was talking with Anthony last week, I told him that the only problem I have with his company is that he keeps putting these great rifles in his Website at reasonable prices, thus depleting my Bank Account and making my wallet thinner.

It seems like it is the Gun-Of-The-Month Club here. My purchases at Trade Ex Canada are running toward the middle of double digits, and another is enroute to Manitoba as I write this. I think I have lost an accruate count!

I find that Trade Ex tends to be a bit conservative when describing the condition of their firearms, and you usually get a gun that is in much better condition than you expect.

Not only the Milsurps stuff, but also some fine Sporting Rifles, Shotguns and .22 Rimfires too. And the prices are very reasonable.

As the two posts above, I have never been disappointed with Trade Ex Canada, and I would also recommend them 100%.

Now that you've discovered buying, start to learn about collecting. If you like cheap Moisins and there is a wide variety on the market, then stop buying other stuff, and concentrate on them. Buy the books, find the differences, learn about the modifications and service histories. There is a lot to learn about milsurps!

It took me many years to settle down, and there are two categories of milsurps in my locker. All the others are fun guns to shoot, but really not part of any conscious methodology.

I bought my Walther P1 and my brother bought his K31 from them, and both times, the experiences were positive. I later bought some kar98k stripper clips as well.

Excellent communication and fast shipping.

A friend of mine actually got me into milsurps and to be specific the vintage Swiss rifle collection. I did my homework and began with that, the only downside is ammo. Its not readily available here, so I been loading all my rounds. I wanted something I can shoot in between and that is why I decided to purchase the 7.62x54r 91/30, and at 150$ a piece why not 2 :D

I'm eager to learn about the history behind the rifles from all the various countries and regions that are of an interest to me. Although I may be more fond of one rifle than the other but I'll always appreciate the history.

As I grow older and wiser perhaps I to will settle down, but for now I think I will continue to gather various milsurps and do my best to research the info and history behind them.

This community, as well as other online sources have been very influential and helpful. I hope to take from it what i can and hopefully give back a little in the process.

#1 place in Canada to buy milsurps.

No misrepresentations, real customer service, excellent website, lightning fast shipping (and well packaged), and of course selection that is second to none.

I've bought a few rifles and batches of ammo off Anthony in the past, its always been a good experience. Prompt communication and excellent service all around, who could ask for more. I'll never shop for my gear anywhere else.

I too am happy with Tradex. Bought a couple rifles from him in the last two years. 91/30 Moison Nagant and a M95 8x56R carbine. Nice rifles, excellant quick service.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum but from my single experience with TEC, they really set the bar high for service and professionalism to a degree you just almost cant expect anywhere else

Just stop my choice on a nice SM 8X57 M96, tomorrow morning i will speak to Anthony. So easy to shop there... JP.

Spot on Again!

I would like to say, yet again top service from TEC. Just received my Swedish Mauser, quick replies to my emails, fast processing, and fast shipping! Oh and the rifle is in much better condition than I expected!

Thanks again Anthony, and everyone @ T.E.C.
