I have a feeling that if this same situation was happening with an individual member of CGN vs a member/sponsor things might be happening differently. If a member was pawning unsafe and misrepresented rifles, taking people's money and generally not giving a crap, they would be banned. What's up?
Why haven't people that received these left negative feedback? I was on the list, my order was in process of being completed when I read all the posts regarding the misrepresentation of these rifles and I cancelled my order. Let alone the fact that these rifles are unsafe as well.
If I had received one of these rifles I would be leaving negative feedback due to a buyer selling items that are unsafe and knowingly misrepresented.

So all the people urging restraint and caution, what is your suggestion on how to proceed? Sounds like your advice is to return the fake and defective product and let it quietly slide. Take one for the team.
One man can stop this right now. One man can swallow his pride or ego or whatever is holding him back from doing the right thing. This situation is rapidly escalating and yes, there will be unintended consequences and fallout that will affect the whole community. After when we are standing around the ashes pointing fingers just remember the person who set the fire and stood back holding the fire hose.
I didn't ask to become embroiled in one of, if not the biggest Canadian firearms scandals ever. Now that I am though I must proceed accordingly. Marstar won't even reply to my emails anymore. I have been more than understanding and given every opportunity to johnone to resolve this. I do not know what more I could have done.

At least you are one of those affected buyers, and not a bystander giving bad advice.
And because you asked, here is how I would proceed:
- contact your credit card provider, make a claim for fraud
- Send the junk back and claim reimbursement for the shipping costs
- In case your CC provider doesn't help you, make a claim in small claims court
- leave negative feedback
I wouldn't listen to the dubious advice some members are providing here, because when push comes to shove, you hang/stand alone.
Bull####. This is nothing even close to what that old British bastard was doing with Stens. This is a CGN banner business member. Klaus bought 3 of these at close to $6000, and is being told by the business, and asked by some selfish #### members to eat anywhere from $200-$400 in shipping charges? No way, that is completely ####ed thinking.
Now if you are offering to chip in some $$ so Klaus isn't out then by all means send that EMT if you care about the community so much.
Nobody should be out a dime because of John's bull#### with these wallhangers. Only time a bolt should be welded is when it's being dewatted.
The laser proof marks looks legit to me. I have handlede many rifles from Germany with similar laser proofs - also from the Cologne proof house. Rifles with these proof marks are very common in Germany and sold by some of the largest dealers - so I doubt they are fakes. I cannot seem to figure out how to upload pictures - but if someone knows, I can mail them the pictures and have them upload them. I have several pictures of laser etched Cologne proof marks to Garands and 1903A3's.
I think they replied to the poster that they only stamp proofs. Maybe that's a rifle thing, as I have pistols (Walther uses them) with etched proofs....or maybe they etch aluminum and stamp steel, who knows.
You know think and maybe doesn't cut it, and to send a letter to the German Military Attaché (wrong institution) based on false information is laughable at the least.
He would be well advised to keep very low profile for the next few weeks, and hope nothing is coming of this.
Might have just fanning the flames or trolling...who knows. Haven't seen him post a reply from either yet.
Consumer protection agency is helpful BTW, and they do require the company in question to respond in writing to the allegations and complaints which can be legally binding down the road....ie J1 will have to prove all the bull#### he's been claiming about these rifles, the onus shifts to him. It's pretty clear he's violated that act at least.
Hell even Lever Arms who have some questionable dealings in the past did a recall on cheap $200 Chinese SKS that had the barrels improperly pinned and took them back and pinned them properly. Barrels were literally shooting off these guns, and they sold wayyy more then "under 200" with much less of a profit margin then these fake T2's.
But I guess when a business like Marstar, whose gone from a major surplus importer to having 90% of it's stock NC Star or Norinco products....well the writing is on the wall. They can't even afford to built a shooting bench if you watch that T2 video lol

Sorry to upset you but Not a youngster being now 50 yrs old. Spent 21 of those in service to this country here and abroad. Been using fire arms since the age of 6. Now sit in a rolling chair and at my parents house. So you think what you want, and jump to conclusions. I have bought from a lot of good sponsors on here over the years. still get out to the shooting shed as regular as possible.
Oh and by the way you did do a little investigating me did you not. But you wouldn't seem to go that far with a fire arm that could potentially kill someone

OK, so what is similar to this situation? Like anything? Are these homemade by an idiot that had serious irrational fears and made threats to the popo? Is this an individual mass producing homemade firearms for commercial sale without the proper licencing? Saskgunsten brought all that heat on himself, sole person to blame is him... that's about the only similarity to this, John is the sole person to blame for this epic ####up.
So I guess I can't advertise outside of EE, my bad I didn't read the fine print. About the receivers I called tradex last week asking them about the receivers where did they go, they told me that someone bought them all up... Now I know who...

You can argue hypotheticals and what ifs all day long and that's all it is - there are no absolutes.
By the time the RCMP, that we now seem to wholeheartedly trust, get off their arses and do something, you're still not going to catch up to everyone who bought one for months. They aren't going to storm into Marstar next week, confiscate the sales records, and swoop to the rescue. (Now there's a scary thing to want)
