T2 Garand - Part 1

So has anyone shot theirs? I guess that is the best way to find out if it's gonna fail or not. Despite the warnings they still seemed to sell pretty fast. I'm glad I passed, something just seemed lame about a garand in anything but .30-06.

Here are some pictures "Kruffe" sent, showing the laser etched proof mark on high caliber rifles,
from the Köln proof house.

That should put an end to the silly speculations.

All those members from Ottawa, the ongoing laughter you hear comes from the German Military Attaché, after he received Squinty's request to investigate that horrible crime.
Laugh2

Squinty, your avator of Mr. Magoo is very fitting

"The first type are standard GI .30-06 Garand barrels shortened by .5 inch at the breech end and then re-chambered in 7.62. Those are the T-2
"The second type are purpose made 7.62 barrels marked SIAU 67 or SIAU 68 on the side. Those are the T-1
"I'd be curious to know what type of barrels these German assembled conversions have." The barrels are T-2

"Mine are Springfield Armory made and gauge like new" The Italians used any and all barrels available ta the time. Yes they do look new

John

Haha....lol.
I just noticed John answered the above question without correction...

I can't believe I missed this earlier in the thread. Basically admitting they were assembled in Germany.

Ok, here is what my return situation has ended up being!!!!

Zero refund for shipping from Marstar and zero refund for shipping back to the Ar$ehole!!!! I'm really mad! I hope he burns his company to the ground over this!!!!

Ended up paying a total of $2087.73 for a matching stocked rifle with a hand select non-tilted front sight!

My refund bill I got by email shows $2005.75 so I'm out $81.98!!!!!! Just for trusting this Criminal!!! I'm floored! What happened to his iron clad guarantee!!!! I hope no one that reads this ever buys anything from him again! Now you can't even trust his apparent Sh!t clad guarantee!!!!

I really feel bad for the guys on the other side of the country! I only live about 2 hours from the store and was out $81.00 for one rifle! I can't imagine how much others will be out!!!

Wow, was wondering why the heck this thread reached this kind of thread count. Now I know, funny, going to have to unsubscribe from his mailing list as I just got one in my email today. How can this be allowed to continue on this forum I'll never know.

Get the negative feedback going, hit johnone and johntwo with it, that's what the feedback system is for. Post how much you got ripped off for on shipping in the subject line.
Scammers need to be labeled with negative feedback, warn others.

I posted this question in post # 27, a lifetime ago it seems. And I posted it with the aim of drawing out a definite response.

Ya might want to read his Ironclad Guarantee ................. they followed it

So, unsafe/faulty firearm?? Nope! Not even close to what was advertised and sold at a premium because if the way it was advertised? Nope! So when would they refund something?? I have gotten a refund for a faulty scope before, why doesn't he think these are faulty!!! Oh, wait, for stuff that he isn't on the hook for, he will and when it is coming out of his pocket he won't! For the faulty scope, he probably just sent it back to the manufacturer and got a full refund!!

The owners of this site need to ban his company but leave up his banner! When you click on the banner from then on, it should tell you not to buy from him and to go to another one of the many great companies out there!!!

Ya might want to get Johns old wrinkled up nuts out of your mouth and read this whole thread.....

"We may have to pay for shipping to return the rifle to you, that means we're out of pocket anywhere from $20-50."
Why does this keep popping up, our warranty is clear, if not satisfied or the item is not what you expected, not as described, whatever, we pay the shipping, so what is the issue exactly ?? We are well known to have the best warranty policy in Canada, so what are the issues ??

Apparently, that is an outright lie!! Or did we all miss the super fine print somewhere hidden on his site that says that "If I don't feel like doing something I promised, that is too bad for you!"

Yeah the 'nut comment'...I didn't like what my mind visioned up....Eeeww..Spat my beer everywhere...Mind you it was the first time I'd laughed at anything in this thread..Anyway, back to the 'tissue clad Guarantee' .....

Johns ironclad guarantee is written on toilet paper. Easily disposable at his convience.

My father instilled in me the value of a mans "word". Apparently he didn't have the same lesson.
