T2 Garand -Part 2

I'll be curious to see as well if they pop back up as a board sponsor anywhere. If so, then we'll know John's claims of the boards not even covering 2 basic staff salaries is BS.

Direct sales, John may have been right, but I suspect that he seriously underestimated the network effect that this site, and its users, can bring to the table.

Very few sponsors, leave on their own accord. I'm certain that being a sponsor on CGN is very lucrative... imagine reaching so many interested buyers within minutes of a post.

I'm sure his lawyers told him to refund everything and get those death traps back.

I'm glad to see people appear to be getting full refunds that include their shipping costs. This whole episode seems really bizarre to me. On one hand, given the social media age we live in, it seems incredible that any business could expect to get away with selling what appears to be a cobbled together, unsafe product like these rifles. On the other hand, if one is to believe this company's oft repeated claims of exceptional experience and expertise in the military surplus field, it seems impossible that they didn't fully understand what they were selling. I'd love to know the real story as neither of the above scenarios makes much sense to me.

In any event, we can only hope the word has spread far and wide enough that nobody will end up being hurt. I have very little expertise in mil surp long guns and I know this episode would make me very hesitant to purchase and fire any gun that didn't come from a reliable source or hadn't been vetted by someone I trust.

It would be interesting to know if they are merely agreeing to refunds for people who ask for one or if they are actively contacting buyers to request the rifles be returned....

If anyone does a Google search on Marstar , then no doubt it will lead them to the CGN thread about these rifles....it will certainly not help business any ; but I suspect it will blow over and be forgotten in a couple of months....

Ask CANAM as to how long it takes to sell thousands of Norinco 1911 Government pistols +1000 rounds of re-loadable .45acp for $500 cnd. shipped on this site!? b: The ripple effect had the delivery guys lobby their Union for back massage coverage due to humping crates of .45acp all across this country! :p

*sigh* what a good deal that was, I doubt we will ever come close to that one ever again... I should have bought 10 of those combos....

I wonder if CanAm could see if Norinco could build some of these "308 Garands" I'm pretty sure they would sell if the price was right. I know I would be in for one.

john has since gone on another forum and decided to keep it up there, claiming to have been removed and banned for failing to obey, gotta love it when people dont follow rules and suffer the consequences from it, then go on to cry how said rules are unfair and blah blah blah..lol

After repeatedly being told they will not refund my shipping, my case is with my bank and credit card company.
Marstar has not actively sought me out to rectify this situation.

wanted one so bad but.......they did return my funds....also noticed that he has removed his advertising from GN. Hoping it works out for everyone!!

Note that he did not address the issues with the so called T-2 rifles.

I hope you guys are spreading the truth there too, wherever it is.

John made his bed. He's not entitled to play victim.

I would love to hear the behind the scenes story from whoever is in charge of cgn ( did he quit ? Was he asked to leave ? ) I can understand them being quite as it's they're business , but it would be good for them to make a statement to let us know they are looking out for us .

According to john, he wa booted out. He's note being straightforward about the reason - railing about injustices - lol.
