T3 Aluminum Bolt Shroud

Flick, any updates? Or did this die as some predicted?

Not dead. More like on life support. My work situation is still just crazy busy, and i haven't been able to make any progress on this, but I got a PM today from a supporting dealer that might shock it out of it's coma. More to come...

Flick,
I sent you an email last thursday,
still waiting to hear from you.

Thanks

Well my side jobs all dried up and it's a long weekend so I've made a working pre-production model with no external contouring. It works on my gun. I'll test it on a few friends rifles when I can get in touch. Tomorrow I'm building the fixture to do external contouring.

And yes, I'm aware that it's been more than a "couple weeks" since Xmas. cou:

Head count! who hasn't already bought the Aussie shroud?

Seriously dude, you've got nothing better to do? how about you stay out of my thread?

Flick, is your final product going to have the same exterior contour as the factory plastic one?

;)

a thread full of T3 owners (most of whom hail the T3 as the best thing since sliced bread) admitting that the 'high-tech polymer' parts on their rifles are inferior flimsy junk is too much for me to resist subscribing to :)

Look at it like putting new rims on your favourite car.

Does anyone know if Tikka 695 and T3 bolt shrouds are interchangeable? i've never had a reason to think about it before, if they were i would get one for my 695

I'll be able to check a friends 695. From what I understand they are supposed to be interchangeable.

Good metaphor with the rims, BTW. Now let's not have any "spinners on a pinto" comments from the peanut gallery :D

/has mags on his echo cou:
