T3 Aluminum Bolt Shroud

looking forward to this i was almolst thinking of buying the aussie made one but pretty happy i can find one in Canada

Now for a dumb question...having only recently purchased a T3, how easy/hard is the shroud to get off/on?

Depress bolt release, remove bolt from action.
Twist shroud clockwise.
Pull it off.

If you twist the shroud counter-clockwise the firing pin will be released, and slide down a deep notch. It can be a b!tch to twist back the other way, and you can't re-install the bolt in the action until you have.

Just found this thread for the first time....great looking product! Amazing how all of us with the "space-age polymer" bits and pieces will jump to replace them with "stone-age metal" ones when the opportunity arises. That's not meant as a wise-ass comment...I'm in the same boat.

Without forcing me to read all 19 pages, can anyone repeat what the price is set to be, if known? Thanks.

Ok! Price is $40 shipped (in Canada only) - it just barely qualifies as oversized letter mail (cheap). If you want it to come packed safely in a box it's another $10. I won't be held responsible for anything that happens between the post office and your door if you decide to go the cheap route.

Multiple purchases made at the same time will only incur the $10 shipping fee once, of course, as they can be packed together.

Sorry guys, no further progress. The work schedule is killing me, but I can't turn down OT. I had today off, but only because my truck wouldn't start. Spent the day tracking down a ground fault in the alternator wiring.

I spent a little time with the CNC after I got that handled, and an ugly little quirk in the machine that I thought I had fixed reared it's head. The control missed some steps, and crashed a 3/8 cutter into the fixture. Cutter destroyed, fixture will still work, but now I can't trust the machine. And I need a new cutter.

I'm tired & frustrated. I'll see what I can come up with tomorrow.
