Yes, I have both. You will be happy with the Tikka but will ask yourself if you should of bought the Sako. If you buy the Sako, your friends will be asking the same question as you. You can then tell your friends ''YES''. There is nothing that comes close to the magazine design of the Sako, besides a bunch of other things. If money is a issue get the Tikka.
I totally agree.
i waited the extra year for a Tikka t3 in the LS model (2004 to 2005) for the LS release. At that time Sako did not have the Greywolf out-trust me I waited then went the T3. After having a Sako m75ss rifle new since 1997, it was the only was to get the 270WSM.
The Tikka is an awesome shooter and I got 2 on them in the same caliber-fiance took over the first so I bought another for me. I had 2 out of the first 10 in Canada back then...had money down at 2 stores. Coud not come to buying the Tikka T3 in the SS model after having a Sako m75 SS - the synthetic stock on the T3 is what I do not LIKE.
I have a couple m75 Greywolfs and love them.
Its like buying lets say a Chev Avalanche LTZ and wanting the Cadillac Escalade EXT. More tweaks and whistles. Basically same barrel, just different action and no plastic. Nothing wrong with the clip on the T3 or bolt shroud for me.
If you have the money go for the Sako. You will not regret it. Or buy the LS Tikka, buy a better scope or still have enough funds to buy another rifle

I personally prefer the Sako m75 stock of the model 85 or the T3.
Been looking for a 270WSM in a Sako m75 "SM" action in either the SS or Greywolf for awhile....and just bought the SS from a CGN member that was listed recently. Going to be hard to part with the T3 270WSM in the pic, but its going to a good home....my bro-in-law who being using it for couple years now. It shoots 140gr Accubond reloads quite sweetly. Hopefully the Sako will do same!
