T3 scope mount

Well i feel like an idiot(nothing new) a friend brought me his new Tikka T3 and a leupold 3.5 -10x50 to mount up . He brought me Millet P#Tk00903 rings but i can not seem to get them to mount properly . I beleive there is an old style and a new style tikka dovetail mount . Right ? ?? The problem i have is the two wedges at the side of the rings do not fit into the recesses in the ring so the ring can be pulled down tight as the screws in the side are tightened. I assume the top of these wedges should go in the recess right? So now that i have made everything clear as mud....... Does anyone have any idea if i have the wrong mounts for a T3 or am i doing something wrong( most likely)

PS all the millet website states is "Tikka" no specific model

Damn why didn't he just buy a Winchester like i told him

my Tikka mounts are from Tikka and they have allen screws to tighten them.. is this what you have? ( rings have allan screws base does not)

If the store will allow a return. Then exchange the Millets for 2 Weaver #61 bases and a set of Burris Zee rings and you will have no trouble. D.H.

Just did one recently same as David Henry but signature Zee rings.

You recall the work you did on my friend's Tikka...and many other I presume.

I will try to talk him into Z rings , i checked again and there is now way these ones will work ..
