T3 Tac

They have been tested by, among others, some shooting journalists in Europe and have tested out extremely well as a drop in. That said my opinion is that bedding is always good.

So this sounds like a good upgrade for a t3 lite instead of selling it and buying a tictac. Does anyone make match barrels for tikkas?

Buy a barrel blank from the manufacturer of your choosing and have a gunsmith install it for you.

Very nice stocks Ian.

Ask and you shall receive. Well worth the wait and every penny.

which model stock is this?

Ian, I had to look in to my emails, but this thread popped up the same day I emailed you about a stock for my Tikka, coincidence?

I am trying to justify that stock with the cheek riser, it would make a beautiful bench gun but the way I have to contort myself some days in the field I don't know if it would benefit me. Then comes the color decision.. So many options, so little guns.
I really like that stainless barrel in the stock, thanks to whoever posted that picture.

Frankie, very nice. Compair it to the rifle I bought from you.

More comfortable due to the adjustable cheekpiece. I also like the paintjob quite a bit better.

It's an excellent drop in stock. Point of impact moved about an inch right (at 200m), but groups are still quite tight, about 1.5" with somewhat hurried shots, using cheap 55 grains at 200m. When the weather warms up a bit, maybe I can take some time with good ammo and see what she can really do.

The only suggestion I have for someone ordering a match barrel for a Tikka is get the barrel in 1.2" instead of the 1.25" standard diameter at the shank. The front edge of the action is rounded down so a standard diameter would look slightly too large for the action.

Nice to see such fine add-ons for this much-maligned and under appreciated rifle. These shoot better out of the box - consistently - than just about any factory gun you can buy.

The availablity of this stock would finally make T-3 lite actions a viable option for customizing into an F-class or TR rifle. I'm impressed.

basic questions...

1) Drop in stock? Is this a stock any guy can install with a gunsmith screwdriver set and get good (not match) performance?

2) What stock is recomended for hunting? I like the look of the siloette model in the photos with the monte carlo cheak piece.

3) How is the weight compaired to stock tikka stocks?

4) Last question and maybe a dumb one so forgive me
I any kind of recoil reducer available?

Drop in means two screws and go shoot. This stock is excellent for hunting. Not sure about weight, I don't have a tikka stock to weigh, about the same I would guess. We fit a Decelerator recoil pad to these stocks which works well to reduce recoil.

We do ship to the USA, no Savage inlet yet. We used to do them but they do have a lot of slightly different actions.
