Just wondering if anyone has replaced the recoil pad on their T3X compact rifle. Which recoil pad did you use, Limbsaver 10803 for T3X is too large for the compact stock, works great on all other T3X stocks.

One option is to get the limbsaver and shave off the excess. Time consuming and a pain in the ass but probably the cheapest way to go about it. The other way is to get a boyds stock with whatever LOP you like and the limbsaver.

I have the spacer removed and the limbsaver installed but I didn't trim it. Its a meat gun...so..looks took a backseat.

Thanks, if the gun was for me i would be fine with that, it is my wife's gun and if it doesnt look "pretty" she wont be happy. Is there a limbsaver slip on that fits snugly on the stock? I havent measured it but maybe the small airtech one???

I think there is? But it might look a little off because the slip on pad might rely on a "full" stock. That 1" spacer thats out might make it look like an oversized gumboot.. ill take a picture for you later of the stock and the limbsaver pad, there isnt much to trim tbh...

Sorry for the late reply, imgur was being an ass.

So in these pictures you can see that there is a little bit of a lip that overhangs the rest of the stock with the spacer removed. Also, even though that this pad 'fits' with the spacer removed I found that the pad can shift around a bit. So I sanded down a 1mm ring of material around the outer edge of the plastic so that it would 'sit' in the hollow foam filled cavity of the stock. I would imagine that if your wife would want to make it pretty then more material would have to be removed so the buttstock and limbsaver would be flush. Keep in mind that if you ever put that spacer back in it would look kinda goofy.

All I can think outside of this is to get a clamp-on muzzle brake from coretac solutions, or have a boyds stock with a smaller LOP...
