T91 Taiwanese piston AR15

I would take Taiwanese made products over alot of other places if I had the choice. Just a FYI, Taiwan makes and develops more than half the semiconductors in the world. Guess who R&Ded your rig you are using now?

The key word there is "makes". R+D is typically US + Europe. They just make it, cheaper.

Take the iPhone for example, Apple works with Foxconn to R&D it in USA and Taiwan, Foxconn then sends the plans to their manufacturing plants in China to churn out all the iPhones you can swallow.

Taiwan used to be a subcontractor back in the 80s, today they are the ones developing and subcontracting work elsewhere.

I had a gun (briefly) marked "Made in Taiwan" it was a Daewoo (SP?) and it was really good, these guys (the Taiwanese) remind me of the Czechs when it comes to firearms - lots of subtle features and guns that work very well.

you're right - i wrote that at lunch, i have no idea what the hell i was thinking, still, too bad they prohibed the daewoo. I'd love to see the taiwanese upper. i wonder if it would be wrong to put it on my norc lower??

lol.

Daewoo are Korean. I don't think the Taiwanese ever sold guns to civis.

Sorry for the hijack but there was a Daewoo pistol for sale in the US that had this funky half notch system where you would push the hammer forward for a short double action pull. It was called the DP51 if memory serves.

ITS HAPPENING!

Norc Lower: "you belong to me"
Taiwan upper: "fxxk off"

Does Taiwan a civilian version of the T-57 rifle?

Not that I am aware of, The M14 old tooling is said to been scrapped. Rumor is the creation of the PRC M305 was the creation of the scrapped tooling that ended up in China. But you never know with this new development.

Fingers crossed we get these. Would love to get that upper.

Even better if they would allow export of T65K2. Then I can toy with my old service rifle where my CO can't scream at me!
