T97.. a FTF/FTE nightmare?

Hmm, so I got to try three other black 5/30 mags today, and it cycled perfectly with all of them. I put 400 rounds through it with each of the mags and not a single FTF. It looks like my stock mag might have been a lemon, and by coincidence, my friends mag I tested with may have had the same issues? At any rate, it was a fun day at the range, and this rifle is a hell of a lot of fun to shoot.

edit, sorry that was 200 rounds, not 400. Typo. Still good considering my previous experience though.

Right on!! They are fun. Mines been great! Your troubles were most likely mag related. The mags that come with them are crap.
I run grey LAR mags with magpul followers. They work great! Also works flawlessly with my metal Beowulf mags too!!

I'm glad you got your problems sorted out and can now enjoy your new rifle ! There's no worse feeling than being on the fence about a new purchase after reading mixed reviews . I had some reservations about purchasing a T97 and was pleasantly surprised that mine has been flawless to date.
 
I remember lots of people were having issues when they first came out and were having to file down their feed ramps. Luckily yours was just a crap mag... Gotta love when you get lucky with an easy solution for once!
