Has anyone out there had the ejected brass dented on cycling and fixed the problem? Some of the dents are so deep that I'm not sure about reloading the brass again. I haven't put any through the sizer/decapper die yet... Solutions/suggestions... Thanks

this is pretty common with the t97. Some guys replaced the recoil spring with a modified AK spring and it lightened up the ejection, havent tried this myself. Run the brass through the sizing die and see how it turns out. If theres any doubt just throw it in the scrap bin. Personally i dont bother policing my brass from the t97 anyway as they are usually launched into the woods.

Couple things you can do:

AK springs as mentioned
Drilling a 3rd gas position in your adjustable gas block

Otherwise its gonna dent and fling all your brass to orbit

Where can I find more info on both of these methods? Mine spits out the case to 20 meters and the guy next to me was not happy

Hey I was the one who replaced my recoil spring with an AK spring (and snipped off 6 coils. It drops right in). Recoil is significantly improved but that static ejector still slams the case against the ejection port, denting it. Brass gets flung 10 feet instead of 20. I don't think there's anything you can do other than switch your gas setting to zero and cycle the rifle by hand.

The rifle was made with reliability in mind, not reloaders. The PLA uses steel case, after all.

In the next province over ;)
