Well, the Rusiian SKS thread is starting to slow down a bit, now that many of us got our long awaited rifles. However, the T97's are almost here, and I know a few of us are looking forward to their arrival. This isn't a thread to question and hound CanAm, just somewhere to discuss the T97 and maybe post some pics once they start to arrive. Anyone have any special plans for their T97? I for one would like to experiment with a different flash hider, something like a Noveske Flaming Pig...
 
Feb 21st (if we have them by then) will be a sight in day at the club I know of two other members who are getting them.

I'm sitting on a few hundred 55 grain, do you have anything heavier?
 
I'm just gonna rub it in...I shot mine today:dancingbanana: But I paid more and it's restricted so, I'm sure I'm not rubbing it in that much.:D

Clobb, what kind of sight is that? I'm trying to figure out what kind of to get - I was leanign toward a EOTech, but I can't decide (and I don't know much about red dots).

That's the first thing for me - mounting Clobb's scope mount (what a buzzkill - getting the scope mount weeks before the gun).

I also got 5 10 round mags coming in from Questar to add to the 3 other 10 rounders and the one 5/30 rounder I picked up at the Calgary gun show.

Hi Harbl - it's an Aimpoint Micro H1. It's a great little sight. It has a 4 MOA dot and mounts very low so that you can keep a reasonable cheek weld with the rifle. I keep it on all the time. Battery life at setting 7 is supposed to be 50,000 hours!:eek:Shipped from The Shooting Edge was about $550. I've also used a Bushnell red dot that worked very well and offered almost as good a cheek weld. A Doctor optic, burris speed dot or fastfire would work well. An Eotech in my opinion would mount very high.

I'm putting an aimpoint clone with low mount on mine :) I figure it since the T97 is chinese it would be appropriate to put on a Chinese scope ;)
