I placed an order last night for the FTU from t97.ca and I was reading the install instructions and it mentions that the charging handle is sold separately?? But I can't see it on there site? Are they kidding? After forking out $350 they can't include a $1 piece of plastic? Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks
Pete

Comes with. Won't work without it.

you dont have to use the charging handle they give you, i've seen a couple people rig up their own. i personally hate the charging handle, it's awkward for me and hate how i have to keep bringing it back to chamber a new round after finishing a mag.

The new charging handle ( that comes with the FTU) will take a bit of use to smooth out. It's pretty hard to cycle at first but once the delrin wears a bit you are good to go.

The rifle has no historical significance. It's a worthy mod and improves the design dramatically. The stocks sights are terrible.

The FTU mod is the only reason I purchased the T97. I hated the T97 from day one a said " I will never buy one! " But with the FTU mod I really like the looks of this ugly duckling.

It was a novelty in stock form. Something different. The FTU made it a enjoyable, shootable and usable. The lower Handguard looks to be a continuation of that.

Apparently the term "bubba" now refers to any rifle modification, not just modifications to historically significant surplus rifles. Commercial rifles apparently are now not to be"bubba'd" or customized.

i know, can't stand idiots that throw that word around.....it's my gun i paid for it with my money...ill do what I want to it so that it functions the way I want it to.

Its like hacking the back half of your honda civic to make it into a pickup truck

Its more like doing a VTEC head swap to your non-VTEC civic because you are unhappy with its stock performance. Only I haven't heard of any of the "Bubbas" that do the FTU install having problems with their T97 running.

The stock T97 in my opinion is boring and very limited! The FTU ads so much potential to this bull pup. I think one would be crazy to leave it as as. just my thoughts.

do you have a clue what a bubba rifle is? or are you just a troll? seeing as in 2012 you said your new to firearms im going to go with troll.

Adding the FTU to the t97 allows for better optics and ergonomics. It doesnt bubba the t97 in any way shape or form

I was about to say Nice! areader but you deleted the picture :)
