T97 gen1 mag release

Can you put the ambi mag release from the t97 gen 3 into the gen 1? What about the larger gen 3 safety?

I am looking for the answer, too.I wanna more OEM style ambi release rather than SCR's product. I asked lot place but can't get my hands on any gen 3 part.

There is a guy called "yul part" on youtube make Ambi release, too. But he ask for 140 bucks....... I am still thinking about it.

The mag release appears to be very similar to an AR15 catch.

Are they proprietary?

If they are the same, all you would have to worry about is the assembly clearing around the bits on the rifle that stick out.

you can get an ar15 one in!
but you need to own a Dremel to do some fitting for it

You can use the ar15 one, but you will need to do a bit of fitting. You will also need to drill and tap the original mag release button because the threads on the latches aren’t the same, or you can use an ar15 button shaped to match the originals dimensions.
