T97 Gen2 coming to Canada

So ugly. The original QBZ look is the only one i like. Ill take a carry handle over this.

I can't stand the charging handle (it's not even a handle). After months with the original T97, my fingers just couldn't take it anymore. I opted for the FTU upgrade. They need a side accessible charging handle. Even the FAMAS. I don't know how the French do it..

I've owned two T97's, liked them both and should have kept them, just not a lot of need for a semi .223 unfortunately. Both of mine were accurate and smooth shooters. Had issues with the last one, turned out to be the mag, tossed that and got a different one and it was fine.

so ,you stop shopping at Walmart .

It's not just walmart, hard to avoid for most things today, unless you stop shopping.
But for guns there are other choices still available if a person wishes to choose their purchases based on politics.

China used to be commie, but they're now totalitarian heading toward authoritarian utilizing capitalism as preferred economic policy. I avoid the term dictatorship to describe them now because unlike in the old days there isn't much of a single person personality cult anymore.
Whereas a place like North Korea is an example of a dictatorial totalitarian communist state.

Know your enemies and know yourself.

Now back on topic, I think there is slim chance we will see a 5.56 version in original qbz mag config as there isn't a version like that now and it will cost r&d resources to make it happen, probably limits the margins for importers and retailers. The safety above the pistol grip, that's more likely.

I don't know why you will implicitly label China as the enemy.

China does what it does as an aspiring regional power, as a nation with a pair of balls. When 2 alpha males( China and the US) are locked in the same sandbox, there will be competition.

Enemies are people who seek to destroy you and kill you ( like ISIS and Al Qaeda ). Competitors are those who have similar goals as your own which you have to compete against. It is like a hockey game, you may punch someone in the face (there may be a brawl, and sometimes people get seriously injured when things get out of hand) but it is not the intention of either team to kill everyone on the other team during the game. And at the end of the game, both teams got paid off.

Point taken, phrase was used for dramatic effect as layman's quote from Sun Tzu, which we use in commercial discourse. The point is that many incorrectly use the term commie which will not help our forming of strategy in interacting with China.
Economic and geopolitical competitor then.

However, I sense many posters "wish" we can view her as enemy.

Very well said. Too many Ppl in this country are so used to discriminate the weak but when the real bullies (isis or other terrists) are here to harm/kill us while spending our tax money, they literally just bend over. Bunch of coward.
When george and gangs at northsylva dropped their balls on my t97 only because they imported them from China. China is becoming an official excuse for incompetent Canadian businesses like northsylva.
