T97 I need mags,,,helpful info would be appreciated.

As the heading stated I'll looking to buy some LAR-15 10 round mags with the magwedges. I looking for info where to get them or if they even work. Do certain mags work for your T-97 are they in stock somewhere. I would like mags that will work, I've read a few mixed reviews on certain ones working an others not. I believe the Beowulf mag is no longer an option but I'm uncertain of this. I would very much appreciate a point in the right direction. A Pre thanks for anyone with some info. I've read other things on this forum but I am looking for more current knowledge.

Magazines can be hit or miss with the type 97, and they can be different between people as well.

Mags that do work in my type 97 are:

LAR 15 pistol magazines, XCR pistol magazines, IMI defence beowulf, pistol, and regular mags, Gen 2 pmags, some gen 3 pmags, Elander magazines, ATRS magazines, Troy magazines, Alexander Arms Beowulf, stock tavor magazines.

Mags that do not work:

Stock type 97 magazine, Cproducts magazines, PCV magazines, some gen 3 pmags, tapco

t97 mag wells differ so much that most owner have issues with all types of mags including the factory mags. The current production starting 14######X is the worst. however the 13######X may have over drilled gas port.

best advise I can think of.... get rid of the t97.

Lol, really? I have 12 mags that work 100% with no failures.

I have a lot of different branded magazines that do work in the T97, but the ones that work 100% of the time are the ones with the "Orange" anti tilt follower.

I've never had any issues except older p mags. All others seem to work fine.

Rod from the CCFR did a vid on mags that work/don't work. It on the Civil Advantage channel. Might be of some interest.

Ive had 2 t97 rifles. 1 took all mags with no issues, the next one was junk. Mags didn't work, it wouldn't cycle properly and would push the bullet back in the case. These guns are hit or miss.

I've had more issues with ammo than mags. PMC .223 runs great in it no issues with that but I had big issues with AE ar ammo.
