T97 new or used

Should i wait for a good used deal or is there a greater benefit to getting a new one with a warranty?

I'm not sure what a good deal is i don;t have the ablility to look on the equipment trade yet. I was also thinking of a Benelli MR1 instead maybe

Used should be fine. Look for a 14xx serial number or higher. The newer ones were of better construction.

For what quality ARs are going for, why spend a grand on a Norc? I get it is different and NR, but still. If you buy used, make sure you dont have an ambidextrous gas port - on some early models, they went too deep when drilling the gas port and hit the rifling on the other side.

The Benelli has a pencil barrel, so not exactly great for accuracy after it heats up a little.

All the used ones ive seen haven't been that great of deals... I got mine new on sale and don't regret it one bit. Now has the T97LHG and FTU and its in a whole new league.

Got mine used for 850, bought the t97.ca rail for it. Didn't really like it that much until I got the rail for it. (couldn't hit anything with those sights). Just need an optic for it now as my weaver red dot died once I had it about 95% sighted in.

I would buy used, as a lot of new ones are sold before being broken in
