T97 picture thread

Actually it is more of VZ 58 (short stroke piston) than AK. (long piston operated)

No it's not. It's a short stroke piston unlike the long stroke for the AK but the actual action is definitely based off the AK not the VZ58. Also the VZ is a tilting block action not rotating bolt. You'll notice the comparison between the Valmet. The Valmet is an AK action. It's the only non prohibited one around.

When my T97 shows up I'll compare it to the Tavor and the Swiss Arms (another AK inspired action).

Mine Mine MINE!!!

Range trip SUNDAY!!!

Initial impressions, it is comfy to shoulder, but has an awkward mag release & safety, & needs a goose neck mount for a red dot between the carry handle & front sight, and co-witnessing would be nice...

Cheers
Jay

The Chinese prefer the "Soviet" style of dealing with the lefties.. Browbeat them into becoming righties. My dad grew up under communism and they did that to him. I never knew he was a natural leftie until I was in my 20's. I'm naturally right-handed but pretty comfortable with using my left so I must have got some of that lefthandedness from him. Wasn't too surprised when I found out that he was a southpaw.

The british teach their soldiers to shoot right handed, too. Are they soviet like as well? It's because they eject to the right.

Who exactly browbeat your dad, you sure it was because they were communist? It could just be a cultural thing.

At least a 95 or 97 won't break your jaw with the charging handle.

Hey guys, I've got a bit of a problem here.. My black Canada Ammo LAR mags are not dropping free. There is a bit of wiggle front to back, but the magwell is tight side to side (even with the mag release pressed in) and I'm sure that's where the problem is. I don't wanna modify the magwell. Any ideas other than taking the hammer to the mags? lol I am beginning to think I picked up a lemon but I really like everything else about this rifle and I wanna see if there's something I can do about it. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Not really

T97 is a little over $1200 taxes in.
KSG will run you a minimum of $1300 on the EE
Thats $2500...

Look on the EE right now and you'll see lightly used Tavors for $2500 and $2600...

So while I do agree you could buy a KSG and a T97 for the same price as a Tavor, you wont get $1000 in there as well.

yeah ,used travor , with only 100 round count, no thanks,,,,,

So... who prefer a travor before this duo ? , i don' t care about the look, i just want what i pay for.

Travor is overpriced ...is a piece of plastic at 3000$ , not for me i will buy steel at this price like a SWISS.

Too much bullsiht in this thread, not enough pics.

+1 so beautiful this riffle.....

Sorry, but two wrongs don't make a right. Norinco and Kel-Tec don't exactly scream quality. IMO two junk guns isn't as good as one quality gun. Maybe for you it is, but I cant shoot two guns at once.

Maybe he has a really fat finger that hits the t and r at the same time. At first I thought it was just a casual mistake, but more then once...?

We need more firearms enthusiasts with this attitude.

Even though its fireball approved I just can't buy one. Looking past the ugliness, crappy safety location and operation. It's not lefty friendly so I'm out just based on that. Perhaps a little more thought should've been put into it for us left handed people.

It has 1 inch wide sling loops on the front and rear of the gun. They arent designed to be used with clips... your supposed to thread the 1 inch wide sling material through them. No sling is provided.
