T97 Products

So we ordered some T97s to play with and we have some ideas for products that you guys may be interested in. Before we begin R&D we're hoping to get some input on some of our ideas.

Firstly were looking at a RAS type system. Its just in the conceptual stage right now but it would replace the carrying handle/upper hand guard piece. Were thinking one rail on top of the carrying handle, one between the handle and front sight for co-witnessing red dots and a couple on the sides. Initial pricing estimates are about $200-$300ea. Material would be either a Kevlar reinforced polymer or Aluminum.

Removable cheak riser for comfortable use of the optics that are mounted higher. Pricing estimate $50-$100

Finally were thinking about the notorious mag release. We have some ideas for and ambi system. Pricing estimate between $150-$200

Let us know what you guys think and wheter or not these things would be worth while R&D investments.

If you do anything, do the ambi mag catch first.

However, you have to make sure that the switch is "fended" around like the SA80 or magainze will fall off left and right.

Alternatively, convert the button to an AK paddde - Look at how TAVOR, AUG and FN 2000 works. THink Manual of arms, not just a button. I peronsally favour this setup better.

There is a reason overwhelmingly bullpup rifles don't put a mag button on the left of the stock - because they all learn form SA80's mistake and Chinese do not care - as these are sold to chumps in burma and sri-lanka anyways.

I also suggest a an oversize safety selector, that can be manipulated by gloved hands. The existing safety is difficult to manipulate. And part of the reason the safety is so small is probably that they don't want it to hook on clothing and gear.

They would rahter have ND than no rounds coming out of the muzzle when needed. However, this mentality doens't work too well in the western world, especially in the western military and at the civilian ranges

A possible solution is a stiffer but bigger lever.
