T97 sight rail question

Hi CA, I wanna order the T97 sight rail you have on the website. Is it a see-thru design ? how well it holds up ?

If anybody else would like to share your experience, please feel free to do so.

Really appreciated.

The ones CA has aren't see-thru. They are made of aluminum. The one I bought I managed to over torque the screws and it stripped the rail. It wasn't as if I really applied too much torque, more that there isn't much bearing surface where it engages the rail. The notch where it slides over shouldn't have been so wide. I didn't realize this and then went out shooting and when I couldn't hit a 4x8 sheet of plywood at 50 yards I realized what the problem was. I ended up getting a see-thru one else where, but to be frank it kinda sucks too. I'm probably going to get rid of the T97 and get a gen2 down the road.

I am tired to put on the rail and scope ,but I put on a barrel fixed laser aim .

It work nice up to 50 yards, the green laser still possible to see and a lot of fun for waist shooting .

Bought a non-see thru from them a few years ago, still works. Mount scope, then red dot, no issues. Took it to hunting, feels good carrying this around in the woods. Nevertheless, agree with SavageTRB's comment, plan to get the Gen 2, before RCMP re-classify this as restricted.

I got the solid one and It did do really well if got 6000+ rounds out of my t97 the rail is still holding on

I found the sights useable not the best but ok. I wanted to put the rail on but it just seems like your hight over barrel is huge.

If you put a low-mounted red dot, like a micro-aimpoint sized one, it's very comfortable to use. Anything higher than that would get awkward though.
