T97 vs Tavor Threads Merged

I think that a case can be made to have as many of these bought and spread throughout all of Canada, as quickly as possible, so that by the time someone gets around to trying to ban them, it will be an impossible task to track them all and collect them all.

Much easier to ban a rifle that is owned by 500 Canadians than one that is owned by 20,000 Canadians.

To many gun owners, that's 1000$ worth spending right there.

so we should just let them over over charge us ? lol Not!

What is all this talk of 2 moa at 50 yards? A minute of angle is 100 yards. That is like saying "I am 100 % certain of something, except for XYZ"

$1000 for a Bullpup .223 for the Canadian people by a Commie country...............Lieberals worst dream.

Wendy and Ron will be foaming at the mouth over this.

Well worth the price. ;)

Same!!!

I am looking forward to getting my RED bullpup!

Cheers
Jay

I'm not a huge fan of this rifle, but even if I decided to buy one just because I can, I would apply the rule I apply to all newly available firearms ; I let others be the guinea pig.

The Chinese military has already done that for you.

I have lots of higher end rifles. SA, LMT, DD, Tavor etc. and this T97nsr.
If you are looking for a rifle with high quality workmanship, IMO, t97 is not even 1/3 of the Tavor.
But if you want a NR bullpup to act as a work horse, feel fee to abuse it, beat it up and shoots thousands of rounds then go for it.
It might be more accurate than a Tavor, just might be, will see. If it is then definitely go for it.
Beside the price Tavor has a lot more advantage above t97 except accuracy (still have to find out) and trigger feel.

Where are these range reports to prove this??????

Look at the other T-97 threads, there is a grouping done at 109 yards, multiple 10 shot groups all almost within 1". The Tavor its one of the worst shooting "black" rifles out there...the AR-15, Swiss Arms, XCR all shoot better then it does but it is non restricted at least.

At 50yds I was getting 1" groups, which translates to 2MOA, with elcheapo norinco bulk ammo and a scope that's not for precision marksmanship - more of a cqb scope that can reach out a little and I still have A LOT to learn about shooting.

I though that was at 25m

I already have a Tavor, so myself I just don't see the appeal. I'm not one of those massive collectors, so it really comes down to quality over quantity (I'd rather have a few more reliable and lower maintenance firearms). But that's just me. It's offered at a good price point and takes the **-round magazines that are floating around, so for a non-restricted black (red?) rifle I'm certainly not going to begrudge anyone.

The T-97 shoots better then the Tavor, most people prefer its looks and ergos AND its 1/3 the price...

Most people prefer the look of the t97? Have you seen t97? It is the most ugly rifle out there.
And how many people have actually held and shot a t97? How can you say "most people" prefer t97 in terms of ergos when there most people have not held or shot a t97?

I would be buying a t97 if I didn't buy a new XCR a couple weeks ago. My credit cards are still way in the red after ammo and sights.

I played with the idea of a tavor but I think one day the t97 will be hanging on my wall beside my XCR
