I really wanted to buy it because a cheap NR bullpup would be a great addition to the safe, but it's too d@mn ugly. Couldn't do it.

I dont mind the look. but with a potential aftermarket rail to replace the handle, it could look pretty nice.

I dont really care how ugly it is if it is an affordable bullpup.

Riderrick is it safe to assume you've scoured your house, car and garage and thrown out anything that was made in china?
i have fortunately none of those spots have guns. i said guns....i make an effort to buy north americans with focus on canadian but with the popularity among sheeple to buy cheap crap chinese shyt is all you can get sometimes. dont feel that because i cant get a gun any other way i will buy chinese.

I lost my Type 97 hard-on after the last fiasco.
100% not interested.
Time may change that, doubt it, but I can be half-retarded out on a limb, impulsive velcro-shoe most of the time.

The T97 just doesn't do anything for me. It's meh.
Same here. If it was $200 I still wouldn't buy one. Seriously.

...so I'll wait for something else to come along. With the regs between US/Can seeming to be a bit more relaxed now, I don't think I'll be waiting long. :)

I want to wait to see what the quality is like before i purchase one. Not sure how i feel about the fixed carry handle. It definitely has price, length and non-restricted status going for it. I would probably prefer a Tavor but I don't know if i could justify the extra $2000 once you factor in taxes. I want to know what blaxsun has to say about the comparison between the Tavor and T97 once they arrive.

Blaxsuns opinions are based on "tiers", so I doubt the T97 will fare well because it doesn't have a dimpled barrel or carbon fiber panelling. Perhaps if it was dripping with noveske or unobtanium it might make it to a tier 4, but alas it is made in China so it doesn't really have a chance. :D

For $1k I will add it to my safe, which for what it is worth, is full of Italian, American, Swiss, German, Czech and guns made in many other countries.

A good gun is a good gun regardless where it is made. I don't expect the T97 to compete with a FS2000 or a Tavor... but at 1/3 the price it really doesn't need to.

"Ze goggles... zhey do nothing!"

Just like a Norc M4 - it is what it is for the price point. While it's not a Tavor or FS2000, it's not $3k-$4k, either. I think it's going to be a challenge running any kind of decent optic on it (not impossible, just not necessarily ideal, either).

But hey, anything that gets more people into bullpups to piss TDC off can't be a bad thing. ;)

Its a pretty ugly gun :) but i'll wait and see what the reviews are like.. and if there are no major issues, i might still pick one up.
Those sights look very weird.
