Tabletop Tripod

Thanks everyone! Looks like I have plenty to do some research on! It is just a cheaper scope but I would like to get a fairly stable tripod, I am usually only shooting 200 yards with iron sights.

The creedmoor ones are very highly regarded. I don't have one, so I can't speak myself.

A bench clamp idea is a good one as well.....

I use one of these: bhphotovideo.com/c/product/283757-REG/Manfrotto_709B_709_Digi_Tabletop_Tripod.html

with a large ball head like this: bhphotovideo.com/c/product/660321-REG/Manfrotto_496RC2_496RC2_Compact_Ball_Head.html

To hold my Pentax 80mm. Center of gravity is very low, and is quite sturdy. Downside being it is quite short.

Thanks,
Cal.

For a 'table top' tripod look at the Leitz tabletop unit. You will need a seperate ball head but suggest a manfrotto as the Leitz units are pricey. For a ground unit look at Freeland (the bipods are nice) and get a ground spike ..... remember that it is easy to knock a tabletop tripod (and scope) off the table with an elbow...particularly since the scope is located near you....consider a tether to heavy sand bag... been there done that!
