Tac 12G, what one?

Good for You for being prepared.
Most of the people I know won't be able to unlock the safe, grab the shotgun and load it under 10 seconds while facing deadly threat though, including myself.
Under such circumstances 10 seconds is most likely forever anyway.
Sorry for taking the topic to the back alley here.
To the author of the original question - good luck whatever You'll end up with.
Shotguns are fun :)

My shotgun, no but I said P30L which is a handgun. Whether you can or not is to be determined but I'd rather have the option available.
Sorry OP
Good luck with your choice and maybe handle a few first. I was lucky enough to shoot several prior to deciding.
Cheers

If you want a solid shotgun, Remington is the way to go. Benelli shotguns are nice, but a little too much plastic and don't have the track record.

No issue with the Remington comment, but the Benelli comment??? Really??

Go to a 3 Gun Competition in the US. The primary shotgun being used by pro's and amateurs are Benelli's and they shoot and beat the snot out of 'em. Sometimes in very bad conditions and keep on ticking.

I'm looking into getting a Nova to compliment my M4.

Benelli is what the duck commander guys shoot, so ya know it's a good gun. Those fine gentlemen have discriminating taste. I just saw on their website they offer beard shields for the benelli guns to prevent ones beard from getting sucked into the receiver. Remington doesn't have anything that compares

Too plasticky is personal preference but Benelli makes amazingly reliable shotguns that come factory with things the 870 doesn't even have available to it. You would have to spend well over a grand to outfit an 870 or 500 like a factory Benelli and still wouldn't have things like a chromed chamber and bore, rotating bolthead (read: no stuck hulls), shell stop override for faster ammo changeouts, etc. Its not that a GOOD Remington sucks, they don't but Benelli brings a lot of cake to the table. You wont fail and get raped infront of your family with any good shotgun but there are more options than "REMINGTON OR YOUR FAMILY WILL BURN" or "MOSSBERG OR YOU'LL GET SHOT IN THE FACE"

I still don't know what the problem is, all aspects of my comment hold true. Plastic isn't really a bad thing, just mainly an ergonomic preference (that takes alot of getting used to IMO). Benelli is rock solid, but from my point of view, a Remington is just as reliable, just as durable(if not more), less expensive, with more available accessories, and has a BETTER TRACK RECORD, which may or may not mean anything above horse crap to most of us. Go with Benelli if you prefer the feel and higher-end factory features, it's a helluva lot lighter than the Remingon that's for sure. I know a little bit about tac shotgun competion, like many here do.
