Well did my very first Tac carbine/pistol match today at Pembroke outdoor sportsmans club. It was great. Not only was it my first but I ran my full length (for now) Norc M-14 against everyone elses mouse gun AR's and SL-8's. I did not too bad either placed 8th out of 16 shooters so I guess the 14 can run with the best of them. I would have done better but I had a few issues with my 1911 and serpa holster. I have not had much time to practice so screwed up my draw a few times. Also managed to drop a mag out of the pistol in the middle of shooting not once or twice but THREE times in one course of fire. Ahh well all in all a great time and I did better then I expected.
:D

You did pretty good with your M14S willysman, your tac latch hits were fast... yes a few issues indeed... this was the first time I had seen a drop leg holster drop down a leg while running... it was a good thing you have already drawn the pistol. :)

Once you get some practice with your new setup you will be smokin.

I love the sound of an M14 on the firing line. Something about it that lets you know whatever is on the other end of it is going down without chance of protest. I think what Reaper said about the .45ACP applies to the M14 "The fist of God".
