TAC21 for Tikka T3?

Am I wrong in assuming that you have dropped the TAC21 Tikka T3 plan? You mentioned that the TAC 21 would be available this year for the Tikka and since new products like the LSS for the Mossberg MVP have been put out and others proposed. I love what you have done for the Canadian firearm industry. What must be the best platforms for mounting a bolt gun has been noticed by all around the world.

Thank you for your nice comments. We have not dropped this plan. We should have the TAC21 for Tikka T3 by March 2014.
 
Any update on the TAC21 for Tikka T3?

I'm currently planning on an TSS for my forthcoming Tikka T3 Super Varmint, but I'm erring toward the TAC21.

I have been looking at the TAC21 for my Tikka T3 Varmint .223 at the MDT Web site.After the purchase you have to buy a Magazine, Magpul stock and finally a buffer tube is this correct.Will be looking to purchase but would like to know what is needed besides what is advertised.Thanks
 
As I[SUP]*[/SUP] see it, this is what you will need:

  • Barrelled action
  • Tac21 chassis kit
  • Stock
    • Buffer tube (collapsible stock)
    • Fixed stock adapter (fixed stock e.g. Magpul PRS)
  • Pistol Grip
  • Magazine(s)

Anything above and beyond this could be considered extra.

* Please confirm if I'm missing something.
 
If I fit a Magpul PRS stock, can you confirm that I would need either the MDT fixed stock adapter or the folding adapter you pointed me to on the Hera Arms website last week? Would I need anything else to interface the PRS stock with the TAC21/LSS?

Confirmed. The fixed stock adapter comes with a castle nut. For the Hera adapter you should not need this.

We are making progress on this, but to set the expectation right, the Tikka T3 Long action will need a small amount of modifying to make it work with the AICS magazines. They simply do not fit on the action as-is. We will provide full details when it is available for purchase.
