Being honest, if I had a gun that surprised me when I shot it, I'd sell it in an instant. My favorite gun has a trigger like a 2 stage rifle, and I intentionally discharge the gun every single time. The best surprise is no surprise. The wall drill (blank wall and dry firing) will help, as will ball and blank drills. It's simply a matter of time behind the trigger and getting the basics right, every time. It does take time to adjust to different guns, never mind different trigger systems, so keep hammering at the basics, and it will come. The 226 requires more of you than the 320 because it has 2 different trigger strokes and requires conscious effort to switch modes after the first shot.
