I decided I wanted a slide racker just because its easier to operate the bolt. Esp with the sling shot mod (Pull back the slide and let it go forward)

So I originally bought the MAJESTIC ARMS racker because it was alum and basic and I wasn't sure about the other poly ones. When I got the MAJESTIC ARMS, LTD TYPE 3 it fitted very tight and the metal bolt made it own grooves in the racker. It went on an angle and just never really liked the look installed.

So I said 16$ try out the Tac Sol. It fitted much nicer and cleaner looking.

If I was to do it all again. I'd buy the Tacsol... I mean I could 2 almost for the price of 1 Majestic Arms. If you don't like it, Twist it off and remove it.

Don't care about racker. Must know aboot See All sight :) ! How precise is that, compared to a red dot?

Haven't had it out yet. I got a Agistism so all dots look like crap for me, so one reason why I bought this. I don't think it would be as precise as a dot, but won't know till I try. Still trying to get used to it.

I don't understand the need for a slide racker on the Ruger, and it looks awkward, hence my rudeness in sidetracking your thread.
You could probably cut the hook off and still have an increased gripping surface.
Drill and tap looks solid:

Dots are a bit blurry to me too. There is a line across the top of the See All which you would have to align consistently:

It looks like it would be great for shotgun slugs, or 45° on an AR. If it were as precise as a red dot I'd buy one. I sent away for a rail for my Ruger MKII, so I'll try the red dot first.
I expect I could get used to the See More.

It's a challenge unique to this Ruger line of .22 handguns. If you hold on to the bolt as it goes back into battery, your thumb and fingers get pinched under the tabs on the back of the bolt. I always warn newbies in advance and teach them to properly sling-shot the bolt back in to battery. I have also taken a stone to chamber the corners of on the back of the barrel so if your fingers do get pinched, it doesn't draw blood :)

Seems to me a slide racker on a .22lr pistol is trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist. Neat sight though.

Must be like the Walther PPK, which is supposed to cut you hands off, but has never harmed me. That makes sense then, it depends on your DNA.
I'd go for a paracord macramé though, to give it a rugged survival vibe. And for it to fit the case. Don't use a shoelace!

I'm building it into a Mini IPSC/Speed shooting gun. Ever try and grip a S&W22A slide. ( I wish that had a racker ) Same as after Christmas I'm ordering a gas pedal, AKA thumb rest.

Yeah the slide stops take a bit of effort to pull down esp younger kids ( My MKII was the same ). Normally people will pull back the slide and then push down. This got a mod I just pull back the slide and let it go.

But back to the sight. Apparently where ever the Tip is, is where it suppose to hit. I'll put a reddot on my S&W22A just to test whats more accurate and faster to acquire. And also the front sight is crooked on this 2245 and Ruger walked away. Wanted something and seen this and figure hey no batteries.

Juster I had it out... Its was -4 and I wasn't wearing gloves so my hands were kinda shaking. It must be my eyes because the triangle looks magnified and takes up the whole glass. I couldn't get used to it. I tried to hold it closer to say a rifle eye relief and it was much smaller. I don't got RX inserts of these shooting glasses to correct my astigmatism.

I put a reddot on another pistol I had and found it was easier to line up, But wasn't as fast as Irons for me.

The triangle never was this clear for me. Thru the camera.

Best group I could do with it. For me it might be good on a rifle, but for long eye relief or pistol I choose Irons.

Thanks Robert, I appreciate the pics! The racker would help in cold weather too.
Wear a coat! Out in your shirt sleeves, you'll catch your death of cold :). Good shooting though.
I might just stick a peephole on my shooting glasses and go for the red dot. I have one with a "+" shaped reticle that looks less blurry. I always have at least 1 cheapo red dot I'm not using.

My no-gunsmithing scope mount is touring Japan at the moment, so that gives me time to think:

I'm getting the Volquartsen accuracy kit too, so I have no excuses left.

Oh I had snug pak under my flannel jacket, a Toque, Rocking a beard so face was warm, Insulated boots. I just cannot shoot with glove. I didnt have a screw driver small enough to move my rear sight on my 2245 so I shot it all with the see all. If you were closer you could try it.
