I have two of those - one like in the video, and one with the collapsible stock. Pretty good shooters, and pretty reliable, but stripping the gun for a thorough cleaning is a genuine nightmare (that having been said, you can shoot 'em until the crud is falling out of 'em in chunks, and they still run fine).
Armscor/Squires Bingham semi .22's were made in many styles & configurations, but all had pretty much the exact same barrel & action. The 1600's are a far cry from an accurate copy of an AR - more like a "stand off 30 yards or so, squint your eyes, and it kind of looks like one...", but they are a fun plinker with a reasonably tactical look. Mags are getting harder to find, although some are getting creative in adapting mags from other semi-auto .22's.
Here are mine...

very cool, I had never saw before before that gun show I was at, and having had no feedback I didn't feel comfortable "pulling the trigger" on the purchase, funny thing about it is I remember taking a good look at that mag and I though that looks real similar to my marlin 795 mags, of course the bottom does not but the feed end is real close, kinda wish I had of picked one up now after your feedback, maybe something that would fit the OP's wants
