Tactical Flashlight Mount

So I'm dekking out the 780 Homeland Security with tactical options. Got the rail and red dot installed.

Now flashlight. Turns out, I have a mini black flashlight for this exact purpose.
My only question is: where and how should I mount it?

The flashlight is completely smooth, has no rail on it, and I have no rings to use to mount it. Even then- where should I mount it? On the foreend? Receiver?

the further back you mount it, the more your gun will block out the light

Unless it is designed to be a gun flashlight, it won't work for long.
The recoil will mess with the batteries and it'll go dark when you need it most.
I put a dovetail mount on an all-aluminum LED flashlight and it went dead after the fouth shot.
